Recently, Saudi Al-Nassr succeeded in securing the signing of Croatian star Marcelo Brozović after a battle with FC Barcelona. Al-Nassr announced the signing of the 30-year-old Brozović, coming from Inter Milan, in a deal estimated by global media at around 18 million euros. According to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo," the Croatian star may not be able to play for the Saudi team until January 2025, due to a decision by FIFA. The newspaper pointed out that FIFA has imposed a ban on Al-Nassr from making transfers starting from the current summer transfer window due to outstanding debts. It confirmed that "if Al-Nassr cannot resolve this issue, it may be forced to put Brozović on the market, even without him having played a single minute with the team, in order to reduce financial losses." The newspaper revealed that "Barcelona is monitoring Al-Nassr's situation and will seek to acquire Brozović if he is not registered in the Saudi team's roster during the new sports season."
