Brazilian forward Neymar underwent successful surgery today, Thursday, after suffering a tear in the anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus in his left knee. The 31-year-old player had to leave the field during Brazil's World Cup qualifying match against Uruguay two weeks ago, before an MRI confirmed the extent of the injury. The Al-Hilal player received treatment in a hospital in Belo Horizonte, and local media reported that he would be discharged from the hospital next Saturday to begin a recovery program expected to last until mid-2024. Neymar posted a picture on social media with his two children, commenting, "Everything will be alright." Neymar moved to the Saudi Pro League in August for 90 million euros (96 million dollars) but has only played five matches due to muscle injuries.
