Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri sent a telegram to Syrian President Bashar Assad, expressing condolences for the victims of the terrorist attack that targeted the graduation ceremony of military academy students in Homs. The text of the condolence message stated: "With deep feelings of sorrow and sympathy, we share with you, the brave Syrian Arab Army, and the families of the martyrs who fell as a result of the heinous terrorist aggression that targeted the graduation ceremony in Homs, our deepest condolences. We pray that the Almighty Lord grants the martyrs His vast mercy and inspires you and their families with patience and solace, and may He grant the wounded a swift recovery." Berri added: "We take this opportunity to renew our support for Syria, its leadership, army, and people in their legitimate battle against terrorism in all its forms, which aligns with the aggressive Israeli schemes that target Syria and the unity, security, and stability of the entire nation."
