The Saudi Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority at the Al-Haditha border crossing has thwarted two attempts to smuggle over 250,000 Captagon pills, which were found hidden in a truck and a vehicle that entered the Kingdom through the checkpoint. The authority stated that in the first attempt, it seized 138,728 Captagon pills concealed in wooden boxes inside the trailer's drawers. In the second attempt, 117,340 Captagon pills were discovered hidden in the spare tire of one of the vehicles entering the Kingdom through the crossing. The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority confirmed its commitment to tightening customs controls on the Kingdom's imports and exports, standing vigilant against smuggling attempts in cooperation with its partners at the General Directorate for Drug Control, aiming to ensure community safety and protect it from such scourges.
