Minister of Health in the caretaker government, Firas Abiad, announced that "we have revoked the license of Garde de reve nursery in Metn," clarifying that "there are international partners involved in this file in collaboration with the concerned ministries, unions, and crises; no justification exists for any harm to children or for dealing with them in any way that contradicts their protection." Abiad stated during a press conference today, Tuesday, that "the Ministry of Health's website will display the names of licensed nurseries, and we will seek to expand the information provided about these nurseries." He added, "We have agreed to intensify visits to nurseries and activate surprise inspections, and we are in the process of sharing the results with the public." Abiad indicated that "any nursery that does not comply with the necessary procedures will face the ministry's strict enforcement of the laws, and what happened yesterday should serve as a message to everyone." Internal security forces announced that "in the context of the investigation by the Al-Jdeideh judicial detachment following the circulation of a video that shocked public opinion and demonstrated outrage over the abuse and beating of children inside one of the nurseries, last night on 10/7/2023, both named Dr. H. (1979) and T. M. (1985) were arrested." The investigation is ongoing under judicial direction.
