Egypt's General Authority for Information chief, Diaa Rachwan, indicated today, Monday, that "Egypt and Qatar are close to reaching an agreement to extend the ceasefire between Israel and Gaza for two days." He stated, "The extension for two days will include the release of 20 Israeli hostages and 60 Palestinian detainees." Rachwan added, "With the expected release of 11 Israeli hostages today, negotiations are still ongoing for the release of 33 Palestinians."
