The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued a statement on Monday stating: "As a result of the continuous monitoring carried out by various divisions of the Internal Security Forces to limit various crimes in all Lebanese areas, and after one citizen was robbed of an amount of $14,000 by two unknown individuals in the Gallery Semaan area, who misled him into selling him cryptocurrency, the Information Branch was able to previously arrest the mastermind of the gang, identified as M. Z. (born in 1988, Lebanese). Following this, orders were given to specialized units within the branch to work on arresting the remaining members of the gang headed by this individual.
Through investigations and thorough surveillance, one of the patrols was able to arrest a member of the gang in a well-planned ambush in the Sahra Shweifat area, identified as A. Z. (born in 2001, Lebanese), who has a criminal record for robbery and drug offenses. During the investigation, he confessed to the attributed charges concerning his involvement in several robbery operations, including the robbery of the citizen in "Gallery Semaan," in collaboration with the first arrested individual. He also admitted to drug use.
Therefore, based on the orders of the competent judiciary, this General Directorate is circulating his photo and requests anyone who has fallen victim to his actions to approach the Information Branch of Mount Lebanon, located in the Jisr al-Basha area, or to call the number 01 513732 to take the necessary legal actions."
