The head of the Military Court of Cassation, Judge John Qazzi, postponed the retrial session for the nine detainees involved in the Khalde events to October 16. This postponement was due to the absence of lawyer Antoine Saad, who represents two of the defendants in the case. Saad sent a trainee lawyer, knowing that the Court of Cassation does not accept representation by trainee lawyers. The court awaited Saad's arrival for approximately forty minutes, and by the time he arrived, the session had already been adjourned. This absence caused frustration among the families and some lawyers involved in the case. MP Ashraf Rifi wrote on the "X" platform: "The Military Court of Cassation is holding a session today to look into the case of the assault on the people of Khalde by the gunmen of Hezbollah."
