Russia Responds to New US Sanctions: You Will Not Succeed in Defeating Us

Russia rejected a new set of American sanctions today, which targeted Russian companies due to the war in Ukraine, stating that "Washington will never succeed in inflicting a strategic defeat on Moscow." Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova told Russian state television when asked about the new sanctions: "This is a continuation of the policy of inflicting a strategic defeat on us, as they call it." She added, "They will have to wait in vain for that to happen." The United States imposed sanctions yesterday on hundreds of individuals and entities in Russia.
