Syrian Prime Minister Hussein Arnous arrives in the Iranian capital, Tehran, to follow up on the implementation of agreements made between the two countries during Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi's visit to Damascus. The Syrian Prime Minister is accompanied by a high-level delegation and will be officially welcomed by the First Vice President of the Islamic Republic, Mohammad Mokhber, tomorrow morning, Saturday.
Iranian presidential office political affairs assistant Mohammad Jamshidi announced that the 15th meeting of the Joint High Committee for Economic Cooperation between the two countries will be the focus of Arnous's visit to Tehran. He will also meet with the President of the Islamic Republic, the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, and the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran.
Jamshidi added that several documents for joint cooperation would be signed during the Syrian Prime Minister's visit to Tehran. He further stated that extensive economic cooperation in customs and banking, the establishment of joint trade zones, tourism, energy, and electricity supply are areas that will be discussed and activated between the Iranian and Syrian parties during this visit.
