British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak stated that there is no equality between the two parties when evaluating the actions of Palestinians and Israelis. In a speech delivered at a memorial service in a Jewish temple in London, Sunak said, "There are not two sides to these events, and it is not about balance or equality. I stand with Israel," noting that members of Hamas are "terrorists, not freedom fighters." He added that Hamas and its supporters bear "full responsibility" for the attack on Israel on October 7, and continued that London is cooperating with Israeli authorities to provide all necessary assistance and is doing everything possible to ensure the safety of Jews residing in the United Kingdom.
