German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser announced today, Thursday, that "Germany has banned the activities of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) as of yesterday, Wednesday, as well as the Samidoun network defending prisoners that supports Palestinians." Faeser stated in a press release: "Regarding Hamas, today I have completely banned the activities of a terrorist organization aimed at destroying Israel." She added: "The German branch of the Samidoun network will also be dissolved," noting that "the international network operates under the guise of a group that supports prisoners to spread anti-Israel and anti-Semitic propaganda." "Hamas" is already listed on Germany's "terrorist organizations" list.
