Protest Against High Bills: Demonstrators Storm Lebanese Electricity Authority

A group of protesters stormed the Lebanese Electricity Authority in Kornish Al-Nahr in protest against high bills, amid a near-permanent absence of service. Security forces and riot police were deployed within the facility.

On another note, informed sources indicated to "Al-Markazia" that a preparatory decision was issued by the State Shura Council numbered 289 dated September 21, 2023, in response to the appeal filed by former MP Ziad Aswad and his companions against "Electricity of Lebanon" regarding the new tariff.
