Lebanese Army Conducts Major Operation to Dismantle Electronic Fraud Network between Lebanon and Europe

A statement from the Army Command - Directorate of Guidance said: "Following the availability of information to the Directorate of Intelligence about a criminal network involved in fraud between Lebanon and a European country, a patrol from the directorate arrested the citizens: (Y.M.), (A.M.), (M.Sh.), (H.A.), (A.A.). Investigations revealed that they are members of the aforementioned network, collaborating with others outside Lebanon to lure individuals through social media by impersonating security and judicial officials using advanced electronic techniques and programs, with the aim of seizing their money and valuable possessions."
