Paris Saint-Germain has quickly reacted to statements made by Brazilian player Neymar, the former star of the club who has recently joined Saudi club Al-Hilal. Neymar mentioned in an interview with Brazilian newspaper "Globo" that he and Lionel Messi experienced hell during their time at "Parc des Princes," and that their departure from the French club was not ideal.
Luis Enrique, the coach of Paris Saint-Germain, was the first to respond to Neymar's comments on behalf of the French team. Having worked briefly with the Brazilian in Paris and previously at Spanish club Barcelona, Enrique addressed Neymar's remarks during a press conference following PSG's 4-1 victory over Lyon in the fourth round of Ligue 1, saying: "These are personal experiences; I don't want to delve into that. I can tell you about my experience; I am incredibly happy, and I feel like I'm leading a unique team that trusts me 100%."
Additionally, Paris Saint-Germain commented on the statements made by their former star, saying in a statement to French newspaper "L'Équipe": "We will not make any comments." They added, "We have a certain elegance and sophistication, but it’s strange that the players wanted to stay at Paris Saint-Germain."
