The Lebanese U23 national team drew with Cambodia 2-2 on Wednesday at Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Stadium in Abha, during the first round of Group 10 in the qualifiers for the 2024 AFC U-23 Asian Cup in Qatar. Mohammad Nasser and Karim Makawi scored for Lebanon, while Ibrahim Shami scored an own goal and Sour Rotana netted Cambodia's second goal.
In the second match of the group, the Saudi team defeated the Mongolian team 3-1. Saudi Arabia topped the group standings with 3 points, followed by Lebanon and Cambodia with 1 point each, while Mongolia finished fourth with no points.
The second round of matches in the group will take place next Saturday, where Lebanon will face Saudi Arabia at 7 PM. The winners from the 11 groups, along with the best four second-placed teams, will qualify for the finals, joining the host nation, Qatar.
