Local officials reported today, Monday, that "the death toll from the attacks that occurred earlier this week in Plateau State, central Nigeria, has risen to 113 people, an area known for clashes between herders and farmers." The acting head of the Bukos local government area in Plateau State, Mandai Kasa, stated that "113 people were killed in the attacks that took place on Saturday and Sunday." He added, "The attacks were well-coordinated. At least 20 different communities were targeted by bandits." Kasa did not specify the perpetrators of these attacks.
