Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated today, Friday, that "holding a meeting with U.S. President Joe Biden regarding the situation in Gaza is not on his agenda, but he will discuss this issue and others if Biden contacts him." Erdogan mentioned that his Foreign Minister "will hold talks in Washington within the framework of the so-called Islamic countries' contact group today." He also expressed hope that this would lead to an end to U.S. support for Israel, according to "Habertürk" and other media outlets. In another context, Erdogan pointed out that "Turkey wants to develop cooperation with Greece in the field of nuclear energy," adding that he "hopes his visit will open a new chapter in the relations between the two NATO member countries." He continued: "Turkey can 'provide the opportunity' for Greece in a nuclear power plant it aims to build in the Sinop area."
