Biden Will Continue to Push for Broad Consensus on Judicial Reforms

White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre stated that "U.S. President Joe Biden will continue to press for broad consensus among Israeli politicians regarding Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's proposed judicial reforms after the Knesset passed the first law concerning it." She added, "Biden has not given up on his goal of achieving broad consensus following the collapse of last-minute efforts to reach an agreement, which failed to calm the constitutional crisis that has plagued the country for months."

Regarding attacks within Russia, Karine Jean-Pierre announced that the U.S. "does not support attacks inside Russia," in response to a question about a drone attack from Ukraine that damaged buildings in Moscow earlier on Monday. She told reporters at a press conference: "In general, we do not support attacks inside Russia." Russia has mentioned taking severe retaliatory actions against Ukraine following the two drone strikes, one of which occurred near the Russian Ministry of Defense, which labeled the attack as a bold terrorist act.
