Today, Thursday, the Governor of Jeddah, Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi, chaired a meeting to present the plan for the city of Jeddah to host the FIFA Club World Cup 2023, attended by directors of relevant government entities. The governor reviewed a presentation on the preparations and hosting plans for the Club World Cup, which is scheduled to take place in December, featuring seven clubs: Saudi Arabia's Al-Ittihad, England's Manchester City, Japan's Urawa, Egypt's Al Ahly, Mexico's León, Brazil's Fluminense, and New Zealand's Auckland City. Prince Saud emphasized the importance of coordination among the concerned entities, noting that Jeddah has all the essential elements, including advanced facilities and infrastructure, that enable it to host major sporting events, supported by the unlimited backing of the leadership in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
