French Defense Minister in Qatar for the Second Time in Two Days

The Parisien newspaper reported that "French Defense Minister Sébastien Lecornu arrived in Qatar on an unannounced visit to discuss the conflict in the Middle East, marking the minister's second trip to Qatar in two days." The newspaper stated: "Sébastien Lecornu is visiting Qatar again today, Saturday... this new visit was not part of the minister's itinerary during his regional tour that began on Wednesday." It was noted that "the French minister previously visited Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Israel to address the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, particularly focusing on the issue of releasing hostages." The minister is expected to meet with the Qatari Prime Minister during his second visit to Qatar and will also discuss the situation in the Middle East. According to BFMTV, the French Defense Minister is scheduled to return to Egypt afterward.
