The Moroccan club Wydad suffered a significant defeat against its Tanzanian host Simba (2-0) in a match held today, Tuesday, as part of the fourth round of the group stage of the African Champions League. The Tanzanian team owes its victory to player Leandre Willy Isumba Onana, who scored both goals in the 36th and 38th minutes of the first half.
Wydad experienced its third defeat in the current season of the continental tournament, against one victory, and has dropped to last place in Group B with a total of three points. Meanwhile, Simba achieved its first victory in this edition of the tournament, following two draws and one loss, raising its total to five points and advancing to second place in the standings, awaiting the result of the match between Ivorian team ASEC Mimosas, leading the group with seven points, and Botswana's Jwaneng Galaxy, in third place with four points.
