In this context, President Aoun's media office denied the alleged news in its entirety, characterizing it as fabricated rumors launched periodically by dark rooms for purposes that are no longer unknown to anyone. The media office added in a statement: "As for the issue of extending any employee, specifically leaders of military and security agencies and institutions, President Aoun's stance is clear, public, and unambiguous, and it's not new. He is completely opposed to anything that constitutes a violation of the laws and the constitution, which he previously swore to uphold when he was President."
