Major Turkish league clubs put aside their competitions and disputes to unite their efforts for the relief of victims and those affected by the "devastating" earthquake that struck 10 regions in the south of the country days ago. Officials from Galatasaray, the current league leaders for the 2022-2023 season, along with Fenerbahçe, Beşiktaş, and Trabzonspor, discussed the idea of designing a joint jersey to be sold at a club association meeting. The proceeds from the sales of this jersey will be allocated to the disaster victims, according to the Turkish site milliyet.
Beşiktaş continues its efforts to send food supplies to the earthquake-affected areas via dozens of trucks, with clear support from its fans who collected donations at the "Vodafone Park" stadium. Fenerbahçe has been working to assist the victims since the first days and has stated that the most urgent need is to provide tents. Meanwhile, Galatasaray urged its fans to send their donations and deposit them into the club’s accounts, which will work on supplying thousands of well-equipped tents for shelter.
Trabzonspor announced that the proceeds from the team's match against Swiss club Basel in the Europa Conference League will be allocated to help the victims. Istanbul Basaksehir continues to send relief trucks to the affected areas, having prepared two new trucks, one heading to Adıyaman and the other to Malatya.
