The Minister of Foreign Affairs in the caretaker government, Abdullah Bouhabib, stated that "Israel must stop threatening Lebanon by attacking it and returning it to the Stone Age." Following his meeting with nine accredited ambassadors in Lebanon, Bouhabib said: "The ceasefire is the beginning of the path to reduce tension in the region and prevent the extension of the conflict." He also confirmed after meeting with the Director of Operations for the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, Edem and Sorno, that "it is time for the Refugee Agency to review its work regarding displacement issues, as the problem has worsened due to the lack of a roadmap for a sustainable solution."
