Queen Rania to CNN: What is happening creates a new generation of resistance

Queen Rania Al Abdullah conducted a televised interview with CNN on Tuesday evening regarding the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip. She stated, "The Palestinian people have been living under oppression for a long time. There is a separation wall dividing the Palestinian territories," emphasizing, "I do not believe in the killing of civilians, and this crisis has been ongoing for a long time."

She added, "We have seen bombings that do not distinguish between targets, targeting hospitals and schools." She pointed out that the people of Gaza are facing a choice between displacement and potential genocide, which is unacceptable, stating, "We have not seen condemnation of attacks on civilians in Gaza equivalent to the international condemnation of what happened on October 7."

She explained, "There is a feeling among us that our lives are less important than the lives of others, and I have yet to see any Western official speak about the right of Palestinians to defend themselves." She concluded by saying, "What is happening will create a new generation of resistance, and it will be fiercer than the current one."
