The Egyptian General Authority for Information announced in a statement today, Friday, that Egypt is preparing to receive a number of Israeli hostages that will be released by the Palestinian Hamas movement as part of a ceasefire and a hostage exchange agreement reached with Israel, mediated by Egypt and Qatar. The authority stated, "Intensive Egyptian efforts resulted in the release of 12 Thai nationals in addition to 13 Israeli detainees held by Hamas, including women and children."
