Berri Adds Committees to the Joint Parliamentary Session

Today, Monday, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nabih Berri, added the Defense and Interior Committees, Municipalities, Education, Higher Education and Culture, as well as the Public Works, Transport, Energy, and Water Committees to the joint parliamentary session scheduled for 10:30 AM on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. The following draft laws were also added: 1- The law proposed in Decree 11313 aiming to open an additional credit in the 2023 public budget to provide a temporary compensation for all public sector workers and retirees benefiting from a pension. 2- The draft law proposed in Decree 11315 aimed at opening an additional credit in the 2023 public budget to cover the difference in temporary transportation compensation for public administrations. 3- The draft law proposed in Decree 11319 aimed at opening an additional credit in the 2023 public budget for the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and the Lebanese University. 4- The draft law proposed in Decree 11318 aimed at opening an additional credit in the 2023 public budget for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the Council for Development and Reconstruction. 5- The draft law proposed in Decree 11312 aimed at opening an exceptional additional credit in the 2023 public budget for the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities for the General Security to issue biometric Lebanese passports and their related materials for 2023.
