Malian Military Council Ends Peace Agreement with Tuareg Separatists

The military council in Mali has terminated a peace agreement with Tuareg separatist rebels that dates back to 2015, in a move likely to increase instability in the African country beset by conflicts. The military authorities stated in a bulletin on official television that it is no longer possible to continue the agreement due to the failure of other signatories to uphold their commitments and the "hostilities" conducted by Algeria, the main mediator in the agreement.
