The President of the Maronite Federation, Ambassador Khalil Karam, delivered a detailed memo regarding Lebanese concerns to United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in New York. He requested the international organization's assistance, which Lebanon was one of the founding members of, in finding solutions through its agencies operating on the ground for the issue of displacement and the implementation of international resolutions. He also thanked Guterres, according to a statement, for his courageous stances regarding the Israeli massacres in Gaza and his insistence on a ceasefire and allowing medical and food aid into the afflicted sector. The discussions also addressed the best ways to avert the risk of war for Lebanon.
