Kremlin: There is No Basis for Peace Talks with Ukraine

The Kremlin indicated today, Wednesday, that "there is currently no basis for peace talks between Russia and Ukraine, as none of the prerequisites for conducting them are available." Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated: "Ukraine withdrew from the negotiation process in 2022 at the insistence of Britain," which "prevented" negotiations from taking place with Russia. Ukraine says that "peace will only be established on the basis of Russia's withdrawal from all Ukrainian territories that it has occupied since the beginning of the war in February 2022."
