The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Hamas movement, announced the shelling of a gathering of Israeli armored vehicles advancing west of Erez using heavy mortar shells. For its part, Saraya al-Quds announced the targeting of an Israeli "Heron TP" drone and reported direct damage to it. The spokesperson for the Al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Ubaida, stated that they have "destroyed more than 160 Israeli military vehicles in the Gaza Strip either fully or partially, with 25 vehicles destroyed in the last 48 hours." He added, "We have documented the destruction of over 160 military vehicles either fully or partially, including more than 25 vehicles in 48 hours," and concluded, "The confrontation is uneven, but it intimidates and terrifies the strongest force in the region."
