UAE Reaches Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement with Mauritius

The Emirates News Agency reported that the country successfully concluded talks with the Republic of Mauritius today, Friday, to establish a comprehensive economic partnership agreement, the first of its kind for the UAE with an African country. The partnership paves the way for increased trade, investment flows, and bilateral cooperation between the private sectors of both sides. The agency added that the partnership will officially be signed at a later time. It quoted Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, stating that the partnership has the potential to add 1% to Mauritius' economy by 2031 and enhance the UAE's GDP by 1.2% during the same period.
