Syrian Army: Israeli Missiles Targeting Damascus Area Were Shot Down

The Syrian army announced that air defense systems intercepted Israeli missiles launched from the Golan Heights towards the vicinity of the capital, Damascus, early Friday morning. The army stated, "Early today, the Israeli enemy carried out an air aggression from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan targeting several positions around Damascus, and our air defense systems confronted the missiles and shot down most of them." The statement reported some material losses.
