Israeli air forces dropped leaflets overnight over eastern Khan Younis in southern Gaza Strip, demanding residents evacuate for their safety, indicating imminent military operations in the area. The leaflets stated: "For your safety, you must evacuate your homes immediately and proceed to the known shelters," specifying the neighborhoods of Khuza'a, Abasan, Bani Suheila, and Al-Qarara. They also warned that "anyone approaching Hamas groups or their facilities puts their life at risk, and every house used by Hamas will be targeted." Two-thirds of the 2.3 million residents of the Gaza Strip are now homeless due to the war, and all available places in Khan Younis and other cities in the south are already overcrowded. Similar leaflets were dropped about two weeks ago, but this time there was heavy artillery shelling by Israeli tanks in the eastern neighborhoods. Khan Younis is located in the southern half of the Gaza Strip. Tens of thousands of displaced people from the north have already sought refuge in schools and tents there, causing severe overcrowding amidst a shortage of food and water.
