The Pentagon announced today, Tuesday, that the U.S. military has ceased drone surveillance flights over the Gaza Strip during the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. Pentagon spokesman Brigadier General Patrick Ryder stated at a press conference, "In compliance with the agreement reached between Israel and Hamas, we are currently not conducting these reconnaissance and surveillance operations. Therefore, they have been temporarily suspended at this time." The U.S. military had been sending drones to assist in the search for American hostages held by Hamas.
