On the occasion of the International Day for Access to Information, the National Anti-Corruption Authority issued the following statement: "The National Anti-Corruption Authority congratulates all those concerned with this day and reaffirms the necessity of adhering to the provisions of the law that enshrines this right for all citizens, as a means of achieving transparency, which is a basic condition for combating and preventing corruption. The Authority seizes this opportunity to commend the ministries, administrations, and public institutions that fully implement the provisions of this law, while reminding others that are still hesitant to apply it, of the necessity to promptly assign an information officer to prepare for answering citizens' requests in this regard. We hope that all concerned ministries, administrations, and institutions will provide us with the names of the designated information officers as soon as possible. We reaffirm that the Authority continues to receive citizens' complaints regarding this issue and issues decisions within the legally specified time frames, aiming for stability and regularity in these matters."
