Israeli Shelling in the South

This morning, the outskirts of Houla and Markaba were subjected to Israeli artillery shelling, which also targeted the Saluki Valley after sirens were activated in the Marghalit settlement and the Ramim barracks in the Hounin Valley. According to Al-Manar reporter Ali Shoeib, the Israeli artillery targeted the Saluki Valley in southern Lebanon following the activation of alarms in the Marghalit settlement and the Ramim barracks in the Hounin Valley.

Additionally, this morning, Israeli reconnaissance aircraft were reported flying over the villages of the western and central sectors, reaching the southern coastline. The southern villages and towns adjacent to the Blue Line in the western and central sectors experienced a cautious calm last night, interrupted by illumination bombs, Israeli reconnaissance flights, the sound of an interception explosion in the sky over the Tyre area, and a shell falling into the sea off the Baabda area in Qasmiyeh, whose source and target in the open sea remain unknown.

As of yesterday, the Natural Disaster Management Unit in the Tyre District Municipal Union recorded twenty thousand displaced persons from the southern villages, who have spread across five shelter centers in Tyre city, not including the hundreds who have fled to other areas and have not registered with the disaster management. The disaster management authority confirmed they are suffering from limited resources, noting that several villages—no more than forty—lack safe havens for civilians after Israel targeted homes, civilians, journalists, ambulances, poultry farms, livestock, and alternative energy projects.
