Saudi Minister of Trade Majid Al-Qasabi confirmed that "the Kingdom has not yet officially joined the BRICS bloc of developing countries." He added in a discussion session on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, that "Saudi Arabia has received an invitation to join BRICS, but it has not officially joined yet."
