Major stock indices on Wall Street opened higher on Thursday, following the latest reading from a key inflation report which bolstered investors' hopes that U.S. interest rates may have peaked, potentially beginning a downward trend. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 166.15 points or 0.47% at the open to 35,596.57 points. The S&P 500 climbed 4.29 points or 0.09% to 4,554.87 points. The Nasdaq Composite increased by 6.56 points or 0.05% to 14,265.05 points.
