An announcement posted by an online store in Egypt about the sale of the iPhone 15 Pro Max has sparked a wave of ridicule and anger on social media in the country. The store listed the iPhone 15 Pro Max, 256 GB version, for nearly 99,000 Egyptian pounds. The official price for this version is 1,200 dollars, equivalent to about 37,000 Egyptian pounds. It was expected that the price would reach around 70,000 pounds after adding taxes and fees, but the store added another 29,000 pounds for no apparent reason. In contrast to the ridicule in Egypt, videos circulated on YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok from Dubai showing citizens scrambling to buy the iPhone 15 series during its initial launch in the UAE.
