A force from the Information Branch of the Internal Security Forces managed to arrest the woman who stole a bag containing $85,000 from a jewelry store in Nabatieh this Monday evening. The jewelry store owned by Mohammad Jaber, located in the commercial center of Nabatieh in southern Lebanon, fell victim to a professional theft by an unknown woman in her forties, who managed to steal a bag with $80,000 inside.
Mohammad Jaber indicated that surveillance cameras showed the face of the woman: "She is not one of our store customers nor is she from the area. She exploited the crowd inside the store, especially on this day, Monday, which coincides with the weekly popular market in Nabatieh. She moved around the store amidst the crowd, as seen in the cameras, and reached for several bags belonging to the women who were purchasing jewelry, until she managed to steal a bag containing $80,000, a firearm, and personal documents from a side drawer. She left without being noticed. Later, we realized the theft had occurred, reviewed the surveillance videos, and were able to identify the thief's face."
