The Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum stated in a statement today, Wednesday, that Egypt has signed a contract for gold and other minerals exploration with the Canadian company Aton Resources, in the Abu Marawat area of the Eastern Desert. It also noted that "Egypt has signed another contract for gold exploration with the British company AKH in the Bir Asl and Jabal Al-Mait areas of the Eastern Desert."
