Rescue teams in India are awaiting the arrival of a second drilling machine today, Saturday, to resume operations in a collapsed tunnel on a highway, after encountering a problem that hindered their efforts. The Disaster Management Office has revised the number of people trapped in the tunnel in Uttarakhand state from 40 to 41 since last Sunday morning. Authorities state that all of them are fine. The trapped men are receiving food, water, and oxygen through a tube since the collapse occurred. The authorities did not specify the cause of the 4.5-kilometer tunnel's collapse, but the area is prone to landslides, earthquakes, and flooding.
