Turkish Police Helicopter Crash Claims Lives of Pilots

Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced the crash of a police helicopter in Gaziantep province in southeastern Turkey, resulting in the deaths of its pilots. In a post on the social media platform X, he stated, "The helicopter that crashed belonged to the aviation department of the General Directorate of Security and was en route from Hatay to Gaziantep, near the village of Kartal in Gaziantep province." He added, "The last contact with the helicopter was made at 10:49 PM on Saturday, where the two pilots lost their lives, and a technical personnel was injured." Health Minister Fahrettin Koca stated in a statement that "the injured person is a technician and is currently receiving treatment in the hospital."
