Lebanon's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Abdullah Bou Habib, emphasized during his meeting with the German Special Envoy for Humanitarian Affairs in the Middle East, Deik Potzel, along with a German diplomatic delegation, that "the humanitarian aspect, while important, is not the solution to the situation in Gaza. Israel must stop the war machine and agree to a political solution based on the two-state solution principle according to United Nations resolutions." He added, "Israel threatens us daily that it will return us to the Stone Age. Can Israel tolerate the existence of a neighboring country from the Stone Age?"
