One person was killed and 33 others were injured in two explosions at a liquefied petroleum gas station in Crevedia, near Bucharest, the capital of Romania, on Saturday. The emergency management agency reported that after the first explosion, the fire spread to two fuel tanks and a nearby house, leading to evacuations and traffic disruptions within a 300-meter radius. The agency added that approximately 25 fire trucks participated in the operation. The Ministry of Health stated that it treated four individuals for smoke inhalation due to the fire. Deputy Interior Minister Raed Arafat, responsible for the emergency unit, told reporters that a second explosion occurred at the station later that evening, injuring 26 firefighters. Arafat noted that the teams had not yet managed to extinguish the fire, emphasizing the risk of further explosions due to a third fuel tank at the site.
