Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed today, Thursday, that "Israeli forces have penetrated the outskirts of Gaza City as part of their attack on Hamas fighters in the northern half of the territory." He stated in a statement issued by his office: "We are at the height of the battle. We have achieved impressive successes and have crossed the outskirts of Gaza City. We are making progress." Netanyahu also indicated that "the government has not made any decision regarding the transfer of fuel to Gaza, but is allowing access to other essential humanitarian aid such as food and water." He added: "We have made no decision regarding the transfer of fuel. I have given no such instructions, nor has the war cabinet issued any decision."
