Red Cross Receives Israeli and Foreign Hostages from Hamas

The Israeli army announced today, Sunday, that the Red Cross informed them that it had received 14 Israelis and three others holding different nationalities, who were held by Hamas in Gaza. The handover took place on the third day of a four-day ceasefire during which 50 Israeli detainees will be exchanged for the release of 150 Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails. The Egyptian news channel, Al-Qahira News, reported that Egyptian security officials have also begun procedures for the exchange of detainees. For its part, Hamas stated that it handed over 13 Israeli hostages, along with three Thai nationals and one Russian.
