The political council of the National Liberal Party condemned the interference with the military institution and the leadership of the army, emphasizing the necessity of keeping politicians' hands off it. The council, during its regular meeting chaired by MP Camille Chamoun, stated in a statement that "the state, which is on the verge of disintegration amid deteriorating conditions, can no longer tolerate disputes among the nation's components", thus underscoring the need to work towards solutions that ensure dignified living for citizens.
The members inquired about "the fate of the buses provided by Qatar and France to Lebanon and why these gifts have not yet been put into service for the citizens, while securing fuel at subsidized prices for the public transport sector and all public drivers." They said, "Enough manipulation of the Lebanese people's fate, and we demand the honorable among them to raise their voices against the parasites, the exploiters, and the opportunists." On the occasion of International Women's Day and Teacher's Day, the attendees called for serious efforts to secure teachers' rights so they can continue their educational mission. They dedicated significant attention to women and culture to promote a dignified living.
